I can't say for sure. Research, in general, would certainly be the main purpose, technological research. Perhaps a bit of stockpiling, as well. But, ah, I should ask about that... I imagine you have quite a bit of emergency supplies yourself already?

Emergency supplies as in a fire extinguisher in case you actually set something on fire the next time, or food, water and the like? Because I have neither. I might have a first aid kit, though. [helpful]

I was referring to food, water, and the like. I personally have no concerns about my fire powers.

If I'm to stockpile, I'll need to know what items to stockpile. If that's the case, feel free to store as much food or water as you see fit, since I likely won't. It would be a little too difficult to store my sustenance outside of a hospital and I don't wish to waste space storing things that wouldn't be useful supplies.

Of course. I don't think it would be much help for most storing your sustenance - it will never be equipped as a hospital here, after all. But I'll do whatever stockpiling becomes necessary.

The hospital is nearby anyway, so it isn't a terrible situation to be in. [a shrug, which is followed by a curt nod to indicate his approval for storing whatever's needed.]

But about the studies. Is this enough room to conduct research on things like that?

Of course. But even a short distance may be too long under some circumstances. Still, we'll see.

As for that -- perhaps not in the long term. In the short term I don't see why not.

I can't very well dig an underground tunnel connecting my house to the hospital, so I'll make do with what I have.

That said, as long as you promise not to build any underground tunnels, break any of the walls or the ceiling, keep your fire in check and leave any stray animals outside, the room is now yours for whatever purpose you'd like.

It's very kind of you. I wouldn't rule out the underground tunnel so soon, though, if I were you -- but it's your choice.

Please don't say something that implies you wouldn't mind an underground tunnel right after I give you access to my house. [that's how he interprets it, at least. KIDS ON HIS LAWN tearing up his petunia beds for their power plants and underground labyrinths...!!]

I don't see the harm in it, myself. It would be very useful. But it is your house.
